EVOO bundle met expectations |

I was pleased with the appearance of the bottles and the information displayed on them, but I was expecting a harvest or bottling date instead of a "use by" date. I also saw that the olives were picked mechanically instead of by hand. They were bottled in moderately dark bottles to keep the contents from light. The Calabria had a more traditional label and the information was primarily in English; the Diodoros was a more modern label that was mostly in Italian. There was some historical information on a tag on the Diodoros bottle and it was fun to read about the groves; it also had two certifications. The oils were both light-flavored. Both have a delightful, subtle earthy and grassy flavor, which is what I like best about fresh, small-press olive oil. I guess I don't have a discerning enough palate to be able to be more specific, but I would definitely recommend either of these olive oils!
