How can I save on shipping costs? We do our best to make sure you are getting the lowest shipping cost, and often notify our customers if we believe they haven’t chosen the best cost for their needs. You can, for starters, easily check the cost of shipping with the various methods simply by filling out your address, selecting from the list of options (noting that refrigerated shipping is required with certain items) and clicking ‘apply’. Having said that, the best way to save on shipping is to spread the cost over more products, therefore maximizing it. Instead of ordering one package of olives – order 3! Not only will you get the automatic 10% discount for ordering 3 of the same item (applicable to all our products), but your shipping charge will only change minimally. So if you are just ordering one or two items, consider trying another…you will get more bang for your shipping buck that way.
How should I store my olives once the vacuum sealed package is opened? When you open the package, you should drain out the brine contained in it. You can then store them in the fridge in a plastic container, adding a salt water brine. 3-4 tablespoons of salt dissolved in about 1 ½-2 cups of water should do the trick.
My refrigerated items arrived and neither they nor the ice packs are cold. Are they still good? We have taken a lot of care to ensure that our refrigerated items arrive in perfect condition and on time. We have even logged the temperature of these items over several days as they sit in a box with cold packs to see how long they last. If your package arrives without any unforeseen delays, we assure you they will be fine (aside from being exposed to extreme conditions, say, for example, if we are shipping to you in the middle of a record-breaking heat wave, which we try to avoid). As we ship from our warehouse in Los Angeles, by the time they arrive in some of the farthest away parts of the country (East Coast, for example), the cold packs may not be so cold anymore…however know that this rise in temperature will be very recent! As long as you refrigerate them right away, they will be fine. We also avoid weekend transits by shipping perishable items only Monday-Wednesday.
I am sending a gift and don’t want the recipient to see the prices. No worries – our packing list only details the items being shipped and the quantities. No prices.
A product I bought in the past is no longer on your website – what happened?! As hard as we try to keep things stocked, sometimes they just run out. As almost all of our products are imported, this also means that we are sometimes at the mercy of shipments from Italy, customs issues, red tape, etc. Please don’t hesitate to send us an email and ask – we will let you know when we are expecting the item to be back in stock, or if it has been discontinued by us or the manufacturer.
I love your products so much, can I sell them to my customers too? Of course you can! We offer wholesale to restaurants, stores and caterers, as well as drop shipping and affiliate programs for fellow web merchants. Read more
