Description

Origin: Sicily - Italy
Castelvetrano olives, also called Nocellara del Belice, are among the most popular Italian olives together with the green
Cerignola. They are also processed into rich flavored olive oils for cooking or dipping. Our Castelvetrano olives are harvested young and cured in salted brine, they have a bright green color and meaty texture. They are buttery, rich and delectable olives. Great with a glass of wine or for snacking, they pair great with our
fresh burrata and cheese sampler. With a mild, nuanced flavor that's both salty and sweet, castelvetrano olives appeal not only to olive aficionados, but also to those who shy away from stronger, brinier varieties.
1LB Package - Vacuum packed
They are also available in our popular Olio&Olive
Italian olive sampler.

Very good olives, would love to buy again, but shipping just doesn't make it worth it.

THE BEST! May 24, 2015
Reviewer: sylvia murray from Laredo, TX United States
AS ALWAYS, THESE CASTELVVETRANO OLIVES ARE THE BEST! WE SNACK ON THEM AT HOME, AND I ALSO SERVE THEM TO MY CANASTA GROUP WHEN IT'S MY TURN TO HOST, USUALLY MIXED WITH THE OTHER LARGER CERIGNOLAS. THESE ARE THE ONLY OLIVES ONE OF MY FRIENDS CAN EAT AS THEY ARE NOT THE USUAL "VINEGARY" TYPE WHICH SHE CANNOT EAT WITHOUT STOMACH UPSET.

Your Cerignola are my all time favorite "beginner olive", Huge and meaty, but the Castelvetrano is it's little sister and equally good..

Fast Service, satisfied April 8, 2015

We needed some fresh olives for an authentic first century olive press for our Holy Week Prayer Garden at our church. They were perfect for this...we even tried a few just to sample them.
