A traditional dish from the northeastern Italian region of Friuli, Frico is a crispy pie made from 2 simple ingredients: cheese and potatoes. Montasio and Latteria cheeses, both regional specialties, give this rustic dish its magical combination of crispy outside, creamy flavor and oozing inside. Deliciously satisfying, gluten free and made with organic ingredients, Frico is best enjoyed as an appetizer, aperitivo snack or as a main dish, traditionally accompanied by polenta or meats and a wonderful glass of Friulian wine.

I m from NYC and my parents from NE Italy, where the Frico is a typical dish.  So I have only good to say about this, if you never prepared it before you may to have to practice a few times. Excellent in cold and wet days, best with a dry white wine.

The package arrived with a gash in the plastic, breaking the seal and exposing the frico. Otherwise, I was satisfied with the product. It's obviously not on par with homemade frico, but I'm happy that this product is now available in the U.S.

The first time I tasted Frico was when my Italian Mama made it for me in Italy along with spezzatina & polenta. So delicious I can't find the right words to describe how good it was!!

When I received the email about Olio & Olive having Frico available, I couldn't order it fast enough and it was absolutely scrumptious!  I was sorry I was sharing lunch with someone because they enjoyed it just as much....so we shared equally...it was 50/50.

Also, if you are wondering about a great olive oil, try the Primo. It's phenomenal. When I have friends visiting from Italy and they taste it, it's so good they always ask "where did you get this?  That's a high compliment coming from a native Italian!
